Memorial Hall
Memorial Hall is one of the most historic and beloved venues in North Carolina. Built in 1931 as a memorial to UNC alumni who lost their lives in World War I, this stunning 1,434-seat venue has hosted countless legendary performances and continues to be a cultural beacon for the Triangle region.

Getting Here
Multiple convenient options to reach Memorial Hall
By Car
From I-40, take exit 270 for Highway 15-501 South. Continue on 15-501 to Franklin Street. Turn right onto Raleigh Road/South Columbia Street, then left onto East Cameron Avenue. Memorial Hall will be on your left.
By Bus
Chapel Hill Transit routes serve campus. The closest stops are on Franklin Street and Columbia Street. GoTriangle regional buses also connect Raleigh and Durham to UNC campus.
From RDU Airport
Raleigh-Durham International Airport is approximately 25 miles from Memorial Hall. Rideshare services and rental cars are readily available. Allow 30-45 minutes for the drive.
Parking Options
Several convenient parking options are available near Memorial Hall. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and getting to your seats.

We are committed to making all performances accessible to everyone
♿ Wheelchair Access
Wheelchair-accessible seating is available on the orchestra level. Companion seats are located adjacent to wheelchair spaces. An elevator provides access to all levels of the venue.
👂 Assistive Listening
Complimentary assistive listening devices are available at the box office. Simply present a valid ID to borrow a device for the duration of the performance.
🐶 Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at all performances. Please contact the box office in advance so we can ensure the best seating arrangement for you and your service animal.
📝 Sign Language Interpretation
ASL interpretation is available for select performances. Please contact the box office at least two weeks in advance to request interpretation services.
Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the performance to allow time for parking, picking up tickets, and finding your seats. The lobby opens 45 minutes before showtime.
There is no formal dress code. Most patrons dress in business casual or smart casual attire. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable!
Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the venue. Drinks purchased at our lobby bar may be brought into the auditorium. Water is always welcome.
Latecomers will be seated at the first appropriate break in the performance. Depending on the show, this may be at intermission. Please arrive on time to enjoy the full experience.
Photography and video recording are not permitted during performances. You're welcome to take photos in the lobby before and after the show.
Most performances include a 15-20 minute intermission. Check the program or website for specific information about each show's run time and breaks.
